What powers the Porsche Taycan?

The Porsche Taycan is motivated by a pair of silent electric motors delivering instant torque and seamless acceleration. As with all EVs, there's no traditional engine noise-just a subtle electric whir under hard acceleration. How does the Porsche Taycan look?

Squint and you might think you are looking at a Porsche Panamera. The reality is that the Taycan is a hair shorter than that, is longer than some of its Teutonic rivals and overall a largeish sedan. Unlike a Tesla, it has a standard trunk/cargo area to carry suitcases or golf bags.

Porsche innovation is at the forefront here and this idea is so brilliant that it's amazing that others haven't thought of it before now: Charging ports on both sides of the vehicle! So instead of awkwardly parking to be close to the cable and charging port, you can charge it from either side. The iconic Porsche LED matrix headlights are here with their distinctive, unique looks, so observers instantly recognize it as a Taycan.

The roof can be had as either a glass-panel moonroof or a double-bubble aluminum panel. A new Carbon Sport Design is available on all models and includes carbon-fiber pieces and rims on the rear diffuser. It is standard on the Turbo S trim level.

What about inside the Taycan?
